Powercakes
This blog has a very appealing look when you first get to the home page. It is very simple, yet aesthetic to look at. This blog page is created by a girl named Kasey Brown, who is on a mission to help empower the youth and help women love their bodies while finding inspiration through fitness and food. I really enjoyed her blog page. There are many comments on the about page, and everyone has positive things to say about her. She includes many healthy recipes on her page, along with different videos for different workouts. On her indiviudal blogs, she has several comments listed. Some have 10 comments, some have one, and some may not have any. She writes her blogs in a very personal and relatable way. She talks very humorous, and bolds many phrases to make them stand out.

Summer Tomato
This blog was created by PhD Darya Rose. The reason behind her creating this is to show others how to make losing weight fun and easy by breaking bad habits and learning to incorporate healthier habits into daily life. One cool thing about this blog is Darya posts every Friday a roundups of health news collected around the web from a variety of sources from The New York Times to Serious Eats. This is a cool feature, because she brings different sources into her own blog to inform her audience about health. She also includes podcasts of real women's health journeys, and has a very inspirational blog. The whole blog is very pretty to look at. and includes many different colors of orange, yellow, or red. She organizes her blogs by starting off with a picture, and following with the text in many different paragraphs. It is very simple and easy to read. She also has a few comments on each of her blogs. At the top of her blog, she has links to her twitter, facebook, pinterest, google plus, instragram, and youtube, which I believe is very useful and informative about her posts. This blog targets people of all ages, and any gender. Her posts are very generic, so that both males and females can benefit from them.

This blog was created by Cassey Ho, who is a fitness instructor and social media guru. She started on youtube to share her fitness philosophy, then moved to her own blog site. Her website offers a number of free videos, from the PIIT workout series, to exercises targeting abs, arm, butt, and more. She includes a lot of pilates in her website, which may only appeal to a certain audience of mostly women. I personally do not do pilates, so I am not sure if I would go to her website as much as others I have found. She also includes recipes on her site, which I find very helpful and something that I want to do on mine as well. She also includes fitness-minded posts that are motivational to the viewers, which is also an idea I had to incorporate into my blog. The layout is very pretty and has a lot of pink. On the food page, there is a section to help the viewers find food recipes easier, and you can check off what kind of food category you are looking for (drinks, desserts, dinner etc). She includes workout calendars for each month for people to follow, and features a lot of videos and tutorials. She writes her blogs in a very friendly manner, and it is almost like a conversation rather than reading an article. Her blogs are very interesting and fun to read, and she includes videos throughout the blog post to help the readers understand more what she is talking about. This blog is geared more towards females, and can be for anyone ages 20 to however old. She receives several comments on each of her blog posts.

The Lean Green Bean
This blog was created by Lindsay Livingston, who is a registered dietician, CrossFit gym owners, and a mother of two. She created this blog to share balanced, simple workouts and nutrition advice. Her workouts include CrossFit routines, to treadmill workouts. Her recipes are all very healthy, and include blueberry cauliflower smoothies or sweet potato waffle nachos. This site is geared towards anyone of any age and any gender. Unlike the other blogs I have come across, this blog has a very neutral layout and color scheme. The workouts are geared for both men and women, and I think it is cool that she includes workouts from her CrossFit gym routine. Her layout is a little different from the rest. On her home page, she posts her most recent blog post with a picture. The rest of the blogs have a bunch of different resources you can click on from the home page. She has a section of just videos on her site, whether they are videos of workouts, or tutorials on how to cook different recipes. Lindsay also has a section where you can buy e-books she has written, which is an interesting touch.

Tone It Up
This blog was created by two people; Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott. They worked together to launch their online fitness resource. They offer weekly workout schedules, premium workout videos, and healthy recipes. They even have their own retail gear in which they try to sell on their blog. There are a number of different workouts these women have on their blogs for their viewers to try on their own, including fitness advice. These are all things I hope to incorporate into my blog, so this blog may be very helpful for me to use as a guide. This blog seems geared towards women, as the layout is very girly and bright. There are a lot of pinks. I like this blog's layout a lot. The home page has pictures, most of them are real pictures of themselves, and the headline underneath of the picture. The pictures and colors really bring you in, along with the headlines, and they make it easy for you to click on the blog post you want to read and it will take you right there, It is very easy to navigate through this blog site, and it is very organized. They offer a lot, and most of it is free. however, they offer upgrades to premium, or even try to sell their workout gear. All of their pictures are bright and vibrant, and they use a lot of moving pictures as the base pictures as well. The two girls make fitness look fun and enjoyable, and they add humor to each post.

FitFluential
Fitfluential was created by Jennifer Grayeb and Kelly Olexa as a network for social influencers. A network of thousands of bloggers, YouTubers, and Instagrammers contribute impactful, entertaining articles. What I like about this site is that it discusses all things healthy living from snack ideas to athleisurewear trends, to keeping your skin healthy when you work out. This site differs from the others in the way that it is a health community that has a bunch of different articles from different places posted on it. Similarly to the other blog sites I posted about, this one covers 15 minute workout ideas and tips to fit fitness into your daily routines. One thing I like about this site is that it includes fitness transformation stories. I was thinking about including my own fitness transformation in my blog, so I liked this feature on this site.
This site also includes fitness podcasts, and frequent give aways. This attracts the viewers to their page. The viewers seem to be both men and women, and of all ages. The layout is very neutral, as it is meant to appeal to both genders. |
Fit Bottomed Girls
This blog site was created by two best friends, Jennipher Walters and Erin Whitehead. They both love fitness, and decided to come together to create this site. Eventually. they added Kristen Seymour to the site, and the three of them made it their mission to spread workout and nutrition insights. All three of the girls are diverse writers, and they each share tips for exercise pros, as well as fitness novices. Like the other blogs, this blog site also offers specific workout ideas, like strength-training exercises for tall women, and bodyweight exercises you can do anywhere. I really enjoyed looking at this blog site. This site seems to be targeted towards women, especially those of a young adult to adult age who are trying to be healthy. This blog site offers a lot advice to its viewers, which I really enjoy. There is a very simple layout, which includes a lot of black, white, and an accent color of pink to tie it all together. The logo is very aesthetic, and eye-catching.

Fit Chick in the City
http://racepacejess.com/
Between your work, school and social life, sometimes a trip to the campus gym just doesn’t happen. For those days, experienced marathon runner Jess Underhill has your back. On her blog, Jess has rounded up some of the simplest ways to work those muscles using everyday household items. Cranking out mountain climber planks with the help of a kitchen towel? Using a water bottle as a tool during core-strengthening exercises? With instructed videos, she shows you how to do it all. If you’re a runner (or want to become one), Jess also blogs the answers to your biggest questions, such as which shoes are best for your feet or how to train for a 10K in a mere six weeks.
